Job Summary:
The Accounts Officer / Accounts Specialist is responsible for executing day-to-day site finance operations, including Sales invoicing, Receivables Management, Payment management, support Vendor and Customer onboarding, Fixed Assets Management, Inventory Management, Account Reconciliations, Support Month end closing Activities etc.,

The role reports to Site Controller and works closely with Global shared service team, Operations, Logistics, Procurement, Tax team Etc., to ensure timely financial processing, compliance with internal controls and company policies, and accurate financial reporting. This Position supports operational excellence through effective stakeholder coordination, process improvements, and strong financial governance.

Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for Sales Invoicing and Accounts Receivable (AR), including Sales quantity reconciliation, Issuance of debit / credit notes to customers, customer account reconciliation, follow up overdue AR etc.,
  • Support Accounts Payable activities, Coordinate Vendor Payments, ensure timely payments to vendors, manage vendor escalations, work closely with shared services team (P2P – procure to Pay), review AP ageing, AP reports, down payments management, follow up for closure of down payment, vendor advances, Compliance with Delegation of Authority (DOA) for all vendor payments, advances etc.,
  • Support Finance operations by raising timely SAP incidents, coordination with the SAP COE team for issue resolution, explore and avail standard SAP reports for operational and management reporting, as appropriate.
  • Regular Follow up with the stakeholders for the timely resolution of AP queries raised by Global team (Procure to pay) relating to vendor invoice management and ensure timely booking of invoices and release of payment as per the agreed timelines and ensure no backlogs.
  • Manage Fixed Asset accounting activities, including project creation, CWIP monitoring, asset capitalization, documentation, budget overrun approvals, and month-end settlements.
  • Support Month-End Closing (MEC) by performing bank reconciliations, sales reconciliation, Expense accruals, prepaid expense review, Payroll journal preparation / review, Balance sheet schedules preparation, Lease / Rental accounting, and other closing activities, as applicable / appropriate. Work closely with Shared services team for timely closing of books / MIS reporting.
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls, audit requirements, statutory and tax compliance, including preparation of supporting documentation, SOPs, and implementation of audit recommendations & other compliance requirements from time to time.
  • Coordinate and support inventory verification and inventory accounting activities, including periodic physical stock counts and reconciliation of inventory records. (including RM, FG, BP, parts inventory etc.,).
  • Prepare and circulate key financial reports and reconciliations, including AR/AP ageing, balance sheet schedules, vendor advances, management reports, and other finance MIS as required.
  • Work closely with other stakeholders, Shared services team (internal and external), cross functional teams (Logistics, Procurement, etc.), Vendors, Customers etc., to ensure smooth execution of site finance processes.
  • Support Process improvements, standardization, and documentation by developing SOPs, checklists, and process enhancements to improve operational efficiency and compliance.
  • Support annual budgeting, Audit, Tax, and other finance initiatives, while undertaking additional responsibilities assigned by the Site Controller to support business operations.
  • Other activities / deliverables as identified from time to time.

Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, Commerce, or related discipline.
  • 5–8 years of experience in manufacturing or plant finance.
  • Hands-on experience in SAP ERP – SAP FICO Module.
  • Good understanding of Finance Domain – Mainly AR, AP, Fixed Assets, Inventory, Month-End Closing, Internal Controls, and Financial Reporting.
  • Strong analytical, reconciliation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to work independently while coordinating effectively with cross-functional teams and Shared Services Team.

Physical Requirements:
  • Prolong periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times.
  • Ability to travel as needed.

Monday to Friday, 8am – 4:30pm Pay:  $98,000 to 106,000 per year.
